The college recruiting process changes annually making it more important to stand out in a crowd.

Rowers Choice Academy helps athletes and their parents navigate through the confusing world of college recruiting.

Overview of Rowers Choice Academy.

Through an interactive curriculum, Rowers Choice Academy seeks to educate athletes and parents on the collegiate recruiting process.

Athletes, instructors and college coaches work together to maneuver through the recruiting world by utilizing remote learning.

The Details

Get recruited to row in college at the level that you best fit and best fits you. 

Secure scholarships come in all forms, athletic, academic, and outside, we will help to navigate this process and find the best options for you. 

Gain valuable life skills and a community while meeting athletes from all over the country. Learn skills through group classes that will help you throughout and after college. 

The Academy focuses on helping your be better positioned to be recruited, understand the system, and have everything you need in your toolbox to find the right College or University.

Each week has a different topic / theme and each week will have a different collegiate coach in attendance.

Every week there are two live classes on zoom.  If you cannot make a week, the class will be recorded and hosted in the academy library.

Athletes and parents will have an optional biweekly session with a staff member to help answer specific questions, help with direction of searches, interacting with specific coaches, and decision making. 

There are there are two options, the Varsity Package or the JV Package.

The Varsity Package includes:

Bi-weekly 1-on-1 meetings are an important part of the Varsity Package.

These bi-weekly meetings include talking with the instructor about questions or details related to specific topics/themes.  Questions about specific schools and coaches are encouraged!

Parents are welcome to join these calls.

College Coach Introductions are a part of the Varsity Package.

  • Introductions to specific coaches for each athlete based on what they are looking for in a school and program.
  • Meeting coaches as a part of the lessons.
  • Asking program specific questions about coaches and schools.
  • Gain valuable facetime with coaches. 

All participants in the academy will have access to the classes in our Online Learning Platform.  
Each athlete will have their own account and will be able to save documents for future reference.

The Academy will provide valuable tools and information to help an athlete and their parents make the right decision when it comes to college. Not every athlete chooses the right college or university for them and we will help to steer and guide the athletes to the best decision for them. We will also determine the best athletic level and decision for each athlete and help them find the right program with the right college or university. The Academy will also teach lifelong skills that will assist athletes in areas not just useful for rowing but for their school and future business careers.
